Main responsibilities:
- Driving a light commercial vehicle to deliver goods to customers or distribution sites
- Load and unload goods into the vehicle, using appropriate equipment if necessary
- Plan the most efficient route to deliver goods on time and meet delivery deadlines
- Ensuring safety on the road by respecting driving rules and adapting driving to road and traffic conditions
- Interacting with customers to provide quality service and resolve potential delivery issues
- Ensure the maintenance and regular maintenance of the vehicle to ensure its good working condition
- Perform regular checks on transported goods to ensure their integrity and compliance with current regulations
- Maintain ship documentation, packing slips, and other documents required for the delivery of goods
Skills required:
- B driver's license (car) and significant professional experience in driving light commercial vehicles
- Knowledge of road safety rules and current freight transport regulations
- Ability to plan the most efficient route to deliver goods on time
- Good communication skills to interact with customers and resolve potential delivery issues
- Good physical condition to perform physically demanding tasks such as loading and unloading goods
- Ability to resolve issues that may occur on the road, such as delays, vehicle breakdowns, and delivery issues
Education and experience required:
- Professional training in driving light commercial vehicles is generally required for this position.
- Possession of a B driver's license (car) is also mandatory.
Remuneration:
The hourly rate of a Delivery Driver varies according to the geographical region and experience. On average, the rate used by Onestaff's partner establishments is €14.00 excluding tax/hour.
